Silicon Valley Business & Tech Itinerary

‍DAY 1 - TRAVEL DAY

Depart your nearest international airport and fly to San Fransisco.

DAY 2: ALCATRAZ & CITY TOUR

Find your feet with a city tour and a trip to the infamous Alcatraz Island prison.

DAY 3: COMPUTER HISTORY MUSEUM & NASA AMES CENTER

This morning you’ll head to the Computer History Museum to look back through the ages at the development of the great machines. Take part in a workshop like “Design the Future” before heading out to the NASA Ames Research Center in the afternoon.

What to expect on a school tour to Stanford and San Francisco

During this tech-tastic tour, you will visit the iconic sites of San Francisco, learning about the world’s biggest and most influential technology companies. Meet with technology start-ups to gain insight into the dedication and processes involved in building your own business. Tour Silicon Valley, the home of those that have made it big. Visit Stanford University and take a guided tour around their campus. Dive into one of Digital Media Academy's STEM and tech courses for kids and teens! Head out to the amazing Exploratorium interactive museum and spend some free time shopping and exploring more of this wonderful city.

The Tech and Intel Museum

Learn how technology is used around the world at the Computer History Museum and the Intel Museum. Inspire future engineers and learn about the beginnings of the computer chip, and it’s layers of complex circuitry. Have your students learn to code with the museum's interactive displays and understand how Intel was established. These museums will give your students a broad understanding of how technology, innovation and new discoveries can shape business in today’s world.

The Exploratorium

The museum of science, art and human perspective encourages the ongoing exploration of science, art and business. Feed students curiosities at this high-tech, advanced museum. Watch as students turn upside down in a curved mirror, step inside a miniature tornado mimicking the core of a thunderstorm and explore more than 650 exhibits. With exhibits to inspire the young entrepreneur, the Exploratorium has endless displays to spark your students imaginations.

Stanford University

With programs in Coding & Artificial Intelligence, 3D Modeling & Design, Film & Photography, Game Design, Music Production, Robotics & Engineering, Digital Media Academy camps will help your students get their start as designers, developers, programmers, engineers, animators, musicians, filmmakers, and creators. Stanford University alumni are entrepreneurs that have gone on to develop some of the most influential digital media companies in the world from Netflix to Google.
