Students can visit Christchurch with many sites around the city still highlighting the damage inflicted by the violent magnitude 6.3 earthquake that devastated Christchurch on 22 February 2011. Learn about the cause and effect of earthquakes as well as how the citiy’s re-build is incorporating new technology to better protect the infrastructure. Look into how Scientists rely on measurements using a variety of techniques and instruments to determine the location and the nature of a quake.
