We care about safety on tour because we care about you. Our school travel specialist is in constant contact with you pre, during and post-trip, relaying all information to keep you up to date and in the know so that you are fully equipped and prepared.
International travel and undertaking exciting educational activities on a school tour will always carry with it an element of risk. That’s why we take every possible measure to account for and minimise risk and put effective emergency procedures in place. From financial security, to on the ground support, your safety is our primary focus.
How we do it
We have an extensive Safety Management System covering all aspects of safety and risk management on your school tour.
This is achieved by:
- Endeavouring to ensure excursion providers and operators comply (where applicable) with the current local, national and/or international standards.
- Providing management and staff with the appropriate skills and experience required to apply the safety policy and respond quickly and efficiently in the event of an emergency.
- Proactively undertaking measures to minimise the risk of an accident occurring.
24/7 global assistance
As a global educational travel provider, our expert team offers support 24 hours a day via our emergency contact number. Every student has a Traveler safety card on an Educating Adventures including all important contact information and local emergency numbers.For groups who opt to have our on-ground tour managers will have there support as soon as you arrive till the minute, you fly home and can assist with anything throughout the trip.
On-ground tour managers
Chosen for their exceptional local knowledge, customer service and organisation skills, your on-ground tour managers will be with you all the way, from the arrival at your first destination to when you depart. They are there to ensure the smooth running of your school trip, including coordinating with restaurants, transport providers, accommodation and activities. They manage every concern and minimise the stress of accompanying students on an international school tour.
Excursion providers and operators including accommodation
We will endeavour to ensure all excursion providers and operators comply (where applicable) with the current local, national and/or international standards.
Most activities carry a degree of inherent risk, our School Group Travel specialists will liaise with the Group leaders to ensure that any visitor activity is appropriate to the age, abilities and size of their group. Group leaders will also complete a risk assessment and other planning documentation as per school policies.
Insurance
We can provide a comprehensive travel insurance policy for all travellers, booking the policy with us is not mandatory however appropriate travel insurance must be carried before travelling on your school trip.
