History & Culture

One of the oldest and longest lasting civilizations in the world, the history of China can be traced back over 4,000 years and allows students to understand a rich tapestry of ancient history. Located on the eastern part of the continent of Asia, today China is the largest country in the world. EA School Tours have developed an exciting and educational itinerary specifically catering to the history of China, including a visit to some of the busiest cities on the planet today, interactive workshops, and museum tours. Students will explore archaeological preserves, and visit historical and political landmarks. From bustling cities to traditional provincial areas such as Xitang Ancient Town, students will immerse themselves in the traditions, culture and history of China.

Discuss the consequences of its massive population, rapid urbanisation and lack of resources. Discover first-hand the many rural and global issues surrounding China and its people. Students will visit the Great Wall built in the period from 1368 to 1389 during the Ming Dynasty, the Jinshanling Great Wall section is 140 kilometers long and at the north-east end of Beijing. It has never been repaired, and provides students and teachers with a unique view of the historical landmark.
